Raj Vasant Limbani was born on 2 February 2005 in Dayapar, Lakhpat, Kutch, Gujrat, India. Raj’s Father Vasant is a farmer and owns a castor farm in Kachchh, Gujrat. Raj completed his schooling at G.M.D.C. High School in Nakhatrana, Kutch.

Raj started playing cricket at a very early age, at the age of 12 he moved to Vadodara in 2017 to take further cricket training where he lived with his Uncle Manilal Patel who is working at Gujrat Electricity Board.

He learned the basics of cricket from Dighvijay Singh Rathwa, at Motibaug Cricket Club which is famous for making young and new talent like Yusuf & Irfan Pathan, then Hardik & Krunal Pandya. Raj impressed the coach Rathwa with his detailed bowling & planning.

Later he played for state teams in Under-16 and Under-19 formats. Raj came into the spotlight when he took 7 wickets while giving only 13 runs in 9.1 overs against Nepal. Raj’s bowling speed regularly clocked around 84mph and the maximum is 88mph.
